Landscape is a symbolic construction of certain social classes and how they signify their relationship to nature and communicate their social roles to others. The photographs in the body of work, This Land Is Our Land, are an attempt to interrogate the man-made landscape in contemporary American space. Therefore, the images in this body of work are not landscapes but rather images of landscaping.
